Hi, I’m Jenna! I’m a coffee obsessed adventure finder, water lover, reader, and epic photo taker. I’m not just a photographer. I’m here to be your planner, guide AND adventure buddy. I’m here to tell the story of your wedding day– from the crazy fun adventure filled moments to the quiet in-between moments and the endless love you share.
Tennessee offers a wide variety of landscapes and experiences, perfect for an adventurous elopement. Depending on your interests and the location of your elopement, you might consider the following activities:
Mountain Adventures:
- Hiking: Explore trails in the Smoky Mountains, Blue Ridge Mountains or the Appalachian Mountains for breathtaking views and secluded spots.
- Waterfalls: Visit Fall Creek Falls, Laurel Falls, or my secret spots for stunning natural backdrops.
- Camping: Consider a cozy camping experience in the wilderness or glamping at a beautiful campground. Parks like Roan Mountain or Fall Creek Falls offer cabin rentals if glamping is more your thing. You can also backpack to the top of a mountain and primitive camp if you are looking for a true adventure. A great place for primitive camping is Cades Cove.
Water Adventures:
- Lakeside Ceremony: Have a romantic ceremony on the sandy and tree-lined shores of Douglas Lake, Chilhowee Lake or Nickajack Lake followed by a picnic celebration. You can also celebrate your marriage by following up your elopement ceremony with some fun water sports!
- Kayaking or Paddleboarding: Enjoy a serene paddle on the waters or explore nature by venturing into secluded coves. Tennessee has many lakes and rivers if you are looking for a serene paddle out in nature!
- Sailing: set cruise on a sunset sailing tour out on open waters with your favorite beverage. This doesn’t necessarily mean a sail boat! You can also rent a motorized boat to drive around and enjoy the lake!
Epic Adventures:
- Hot Air Balloon Ride: Experience a sunrise or sunset balloon ride for a truly memorable view. There are so many options throughout Tennessee for this!
- Caving or Spelunking: Explore the fascinating caves in the area, like those that are well known near Chattanooga or those in the State Parks like Fall Creek Falls. If you are new to this but still wanting an epic adventure, hire a tour guide to assist you with this adventure!
- Off-roading: rent a 4 wheel-drive car or bring your own and go off-roading for a fun new adventure. There are lots of locations to explore while off-roading that can lead to epic ceremony locations without hiking!
Romantic Activities:
- Picnic: Plan a romantic picnic at a scenic spot, complete with your favorite foods and perhaps a celebratory bottle of champagne. You can also order a charcuterie board ahead of time or bring your cake to enjoy while out in nature!
- Stargazing: Find a quiet spot away from city lights to enjoy a night under the stars. There are lots of great options in both the Smoky mountains and surrounding areas for this! The farther away from big cities, the better chance you have of see
- Vineyard, Distillery and Brewery Tours: Visit wineries, distilleries or breweries located all throughout the state for different alcohol tastings and scenic views.
I’m here to help plan these adventures into your elopement schedule so you can fully enjoy each experience without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Each of these options will add a unique and memorable touch to your special day!
